A long held, slow burning obsession that never fails to challenge

I met a photographer years ago, I was in my early twenties and admittedly I wasn't that much interested. I saw it as a bizarre, self-indulgent obsession with oneself. It took a while to form that opinion and to value it.
This gave me the opportunity to finally stop and think about who I am. The place I live, the people I live with and the way that I live amongst it all.

I don't need the latest camera with the latest lens nor do I need a million gadgets to help me think. That industry is a crafted amount of bollocks that I share no interest in. I can't connect with that. I can't connect with studios and posed portraits nor lights for effect. I prefer seeing this as we walk around. Looking at reality.

Sometimes, for some, reality is boring unless you stop to look and think. Sometimes reality is warped and we may not know what to look at. I heard of psychological warfare, psy ops and all sort of propaganda type phrases. More jargon for the brainwashing culture of the manipulative. The art and pseudo science of lying, convincing, manipulating or more politely termed 'influencing'.
